As an EU Member State, Greece has incorporated the 1992 lending Right Directive in its national legislation but so far no steps have been taken to put the PLR provisions into effect.
In 2008 OSDEL (Greek Collecting Society For Literature Rights) has proposed to act on behalf of the Greek Authors’ Society and claim money from the State to distribute PLR remuneration. The proposal is pending.
